The Charlotte Hornets will sign Euro player Julyan Stone, making him the likely third-choice point guard in Charlotte. The Eastern Conference appears to be very weak, and teams must look for any difference makers they can find.

The playoff contending Hornets will start Kemba Walker at point guard and Michael Carter-Williams will back Walker up. Leaving third string duties to Stone, who played for a pro Italian team last year. Stone has also played for the Denver Nuggets and Toronto Raptors.

Stone is evidently looking for a way back into the NBA, and the Hornets are giving him that golden opportunity. Stones’ stats do not jump off the page by any means, but he is simply looking for an opportunity to get minutes.
He has not gotten more than eight minutes in a game during his whole NBA career, but the lengthy Stone has a chance to battle with the inconsistent and unimposing Carter-Williams for second string duties.
It is about getting the opportunity, then performing. Stone has a chance to show the NBA what they have been missing out on this upcoming season.
