Hawks waive Jarrett Jack By Kneelo Elim
The Hawks waived veteran point guard Jarrett Jack on Thursday, according to Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
The move was injury related, as Jack has been unable to practice as he returns from torn right knee ligaments. While Jack’s future is uncertain while dealing with his injury, he was having a good year with the Brooklyn Nets last season before going down.
He started all 32 games while averaging 12.8 points and a career-high 7.4 assists per game. The Hawks will now lean on their young point guards primarily lead by Dennis Schroeder and his backup Malcolm Delaney.
