The nation’s #1 high school basketball prospect, Marvin Bagley III has officially committed to Duke University.

Bagley has also announced that he will be reclassifying to the 2017 class, making him eligible to play for the Blue Devils this upcoming season. He joins an already stacked freshman class heading in to Duke, including five other top-100 recruits. Of these six top-100 recruits, three rank in the top-six: Bagley (#1), guard Tre Duval (#5) and forward Wendell Carter (#6).

The power forward joins Harry Giles of the Sacramento Kings as the second consecutive #1 recruit to join Mike Krzyzweski’s Duke team.

This announcement should place Duke over Kentucky for the #1 recruitment class in 2017 and give Duke a very strong chance at winning the 2017-18 National Championship.

Bagley put on a show playing with NBA star James Harden in a recent Drew League game:

Marvin Bagley is a very special talent, and Duke just became a very heavy favorite for this upcoming season.
