Damian Lillard wants to win the MVP trophy this season, and it’s quite obvious.
Portland Trail Blazers guard led his team a career high with an average of 25.1 points per game last season.
Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr said “I think KD is kind of like Gary Johnson, a third-party guy who is going to come in and take a few votes from Steph, takes some from LeBron, and then Damian Lillard wins the election. That’s my forecast.”
Damian Lillard will battle against Stephen Curry, Lebron James, James Harden and Russell Westbrook in MVP race this upcoming season.
But however, we all know that the road to an MVP won’t be easy for Lillard. after Kevin Durant leaving OKC, Westbrook can win MVP after 17 triple-doubles last season.
James Harden is playing Point Guard position right now; averaging 20.2 points (ranks second in NBA), 10.7 assists (ranks first in NBA) and 6.2 boards in 29.5 minutes impressive preseason.
However, it will take more than just cancelling out votes for Lillard to be the MVP.
