The Chicago Bulls are having a decent record this season. They are currently in seventh place in the Eastern Conference. That makes for a playoff-spot of course, but the season overall has certainly been below-expectations, especially for a team that signed Dwyane Wade over the offseason.

Wade is considered a top-thirty player in NBA history, and was brought into Chicago to help bring this team into the playoffs. But considering their record, this season is only slightly better, as it was not much of a success. The Bulls need more help, and quickly, before Wade comes to the age where he needs to retire. Changes must be made, as they will have to trade.

Currently, the Bulls weakest position is at the power forward. Chicago’s starting power forward is Taj Gibson, who is averaging 11.8 points, 7 rebounds, and 1 block per game this season. The Bulls need to make a change before the playoffs begin, or they are not going it make it very far. There is one player that fits the needs of the Bulls almost perfectly.

Blake Griffin of the Los Angeles Clippers.

Griffin, former rookie of the year and NBA Slam Dunk champion, is averaging 21.9 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 0.5 blocks per game this season. Blake is one of the most athletic big men in the league, and will fit in perfectly with the Bulls uptempo playing style. Griffin is also known as one of the best alley-oop finishes of all time.

Bulls starting point guard Rajon Rondo is known as one of the best passers of all time, which will lead to plenty of perfectly-placed passes for Griffin to score. Blake’s playing style is similar to Rondo’s former teammate Kevin Garnett in how they both have solid mid-range games, which will help get more shots up.

Rondo is familiar with getting big men the ball for easy shots and will get Griffin wide open jumpers. This duo will make a dominant offensive force.

The way that Rondo was able to get Garnett open-shots was a major reason why the Boston Celtics won the NBA championship in 2008. The duo along with scoring machine Jimmy Butler will help carry the team deep into the playoffs, while giving them a legitimate shot at an NBA championship.
