2o17-18 Season Outlook: Excitement levels continuously increase in Milwaukee after a mesmerizing season featuring Giannis Antetokounmpo. Despite the lack of off-season acquisitions, Milwaukee continues to put their faith in the young core they have already assembled. Kidd’s Bucks hope Jabari Parker can return to full health sometime throughout the season in order to be in contention as Eastern Conference Champions.

The Milwaukee Bucks continued their trend of selecting lengthy prospects with untapped potential this off-season in Michigan star, DJ Wilson. They hope to mold him into a stretch big who can play defense at a decent level and ultimately become a great contributor towards their championship aspirations.

Considering the acquisition of an All-Star caliber player would be challenging, Milwaukee decided to scan the free agency market for under-the-radar role players who can provide outside shooting and perimeter defense.  They evidently finished with the re-signing of Tony Snell and brought in the former Timberwolf, Brandon Rush.

Due to the early injury of Khris Middleton in 2016, Milwaukee’s hope of reaching the post-season seemed unlikely. However, Giannis Antetokounmpo had different plans. He led the Bucks to a 42-40 season and became the first player to ever reach top-20 in every major statistical category. With Khris Middleton hopefully back for the entire next season, Milwaukee will continue to build off of the chemistry they worked so hard to put together.

After countless seasons of irrelevancy, Milwaukee has finally solidified themselves as a franchise on the rapid uprise. But due to the dominance of the Golden State Warriors, barring a miracle, Milwaukee holds minimal likelihood as championship contenders. However, the youth of the Bucks’ squad provides reassurance and will likely result in multiple championships moving forward.

Projected Strengths: Versatility, perimeter shooting, defense

Projected Weaknesses: Lack of All-Stars, Injury struggles

Projected Win Total: 44
