The Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers both had luck in the NBA lottery, with Philly getting the number 3 pick and Boston securing the number 1 overall pick in the Draft. Now, it seems that these teams may be swapping picks as Philadelphia looks to try to pick first for the second straight year in a row. These two teams are known for their stockpile of assets, so it will be interesting to see how and if this trade plays out.
The number one pick in question will almost definitely be used on Markelle Fultz regardless of which team ends up with it. Philadelphia has made it clear the purpose of them attaining the pick is to use it on Fultz. They are waiting for his medical information before going any further into the trade talks, but theyare already very serious. The talks are so far in that Fultz ‘could be on his way to Philadelphia for a meeting Saturday,’ as per a tweet by Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical.
Boston would acquire Sixers No. 3 overall pick in 2017 and package to include future first from Sixers, sources say. https://t.co/AK5LyYXnYX

Boston would be adding to its pick stockpile by gaining a future first round pick from the 76ers as well as the pick in this year’s draft. There is much speculation already blossoming as to any players that could also be involved in this trade, with people such as Jahlil Okafor and Dario Saric already being considered by fans. Fultz’s talent is immense, but is it enough for Philly to throw their pile of assets away? Make sure to give your take by voting below.
